I am saddened to discover that Opus 1.2 did not make it in to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Even weirder to see Debian stable shipped with a 1.2alpha. Maybe at this rate I'll be able to build custom 1.3 packages once its released.
@nivex Wonder how feasible getting into backports would be for either. Ofc would need motivated package maintainers.

@tbr Motivated maintainers seems to be the issue. 1.2 was out in plenty of time to make it through the Debian -> Ubuntu chain and into 18.04.
